1. Overview
One-Task Tab is a minimalist Chrome new tab extension. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used.
2. Information handled by the extension
The extension stores the following information locally in your browser:
- The task text that you voluntarily enter.
- Your selected day or night theme.
This information is used only to provide the extension's core functionality and remains on your device.
3. Data transmission and sharing
One-Task Tab does not transmit your task text, theme preference, browsing activity, or any other information to the developer, external servers, advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties. User data is not sold or shared.
4. Browser permissions
The extension does not request browser permissions or host permissions. It does not read website content, browsing history, open tabs, location, personal communications, authentication information, or financial information.
5. Storage and retention
The current task and theme preference are stored using the browser's local storage. The task is removed when you mark it complete. You may remove all stored information at any time by clearing the extension's site data or uninstalling the extension.
6. Security and remote code
The extension does not communicate with external servers and does not execute remote code. All code required to operate the extension is included in the installed package.
7. Children's privacy
The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users.
8. Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the relevant change takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page will also be updated.
